Costa Rican Art, Music and Craft

     The arts of Costa Rica are very diverse, because in addition to the numerous local talented artist a large number of foreign artist have made Costa Rica their home. These artist have come up with a wide variety of work including:

• digital photography

Costa Rica has it all since we can observe and delight ourselves through art.

Types of Music: 

     If something is really true is about the fact that Costa Rica has a variety of music. There are many artist that have achieved awards and recognition around the world. from Manuel 'Melico' Salazar to Editus, musical bands and singers have worked so hard to produce quality of records and songs through the last decadess. There are the different styles of music Costa Rica has, starting with the traditional:

• Calypso (best Known as Trinidian) 
• Indigenous and 
• Folkloric music

     

     On the other hand, Costa Ricans have been influenced by genres from other countries like: 

• Salsa
• Merengue
• Cumbia
• Rock
• and most recently Bachata

     "We must be proud of our history related to crft, handicraft and native crafts. its origins are pre- Culumbian and its legacy is protected by the government in the museums. Costa Rica was a zone of transition as cultural bridge of goods of Mesoamerican influence.
     nowadays, artist have been working so hard to preserve the tecniques and eport merchandise to foreigner countries.!! (Arias, M.,2016 page 43)
